Underground Storage Tank Compliance

California Code of Regulations Title 23 Sections 2715(a)-(f) requires that owners/operators of Underground Storage Tank (UST) systems assign a Designated UST Operator to perform monthly inspections, maintain records and perform annual on-the-job facility employee training. Du-All Safety offers a third party designated UST operator to fulfill this function for your facility.

What are Your Options?

To comply with these regulations, you have two options: train and certify your staff to International Code Council (ICC) accreditation and conduct the designated UST operator duties in-house or contact an ICC-certified consultant to perform designated UST operator tasks.

Why Use Du-All Safety as Your Designated UST Operator?

Du-All Safety is an industry leader in implementing, managing, maintaining and optimizing comprehensive environmental compliance programs. As a certified California Designated UST Operator, we are perfectly suited to perform the duties of Designated UST Operator for your UST facilities.

How We Work

A certified Du-All Safety Designated UST Operator will conduct monthly visual inspections of each UST system, which include:

  • Full functional check of installed leak detection monitoring equipment.
  • Check of current alarm conditions and alarm history for trends and correct alarm response procedures.
  • Inspection for the presence of hazardous substances, water and debris in spill containers, under-dispenser containment areas and containment sumps.
  • Verification of required activities and records for all testing, maintenance and training.

Additional Benefits

As part of the Du-All Safety Designated UST Operator support service, we will conduct the annual on-the-job training, review all UST documentation for completeness, and attend scheduled annual regulatory inspections.
